Rascain, officially the Democratic Republic of Rascain is a micronation based in the United Kingdom. It is a micronation heavily influenced by the Catholic Church and the Knights Templar.
They are a Christian micronation who wish to claim land and spread the Rascainian way.
Governance
President
The incumbent president is president Ghostly of the Independence Party. The president must work along side parliament unless there is an emergency, in which case emergency powers grant the president temporary dictatorial powers.
Parliament
The parliament is a group of individuals who act as the legislative branch of the Rascainian government. They propose, debate and pass laws (with the presidents approval). They are appointed by the citizens but the president approves each member of parliament. The parliament will meet once a week and debate new rules, ask the president questions and be the critical gears of the government and the country.
Political Parties
Rascain Independence Party - A right wing, conservative political party led by current president Ghostly.
Communist Party of Rascain - A far-left, political party that follow Marxist Leninism, currently has no leader.
Federal Evolution Group - A political party without an ideology or political leaning, led party leader NA.
Constitution
The constitution of Rascain is as such:
- Citizens of the state shall have the liberty to express any and all speech they desire.
- All citizens are entitled to fair treatment according to the rules.
- Citizens are entitled to a free and fair election.
- Citizens are expected to be polite to authorities while not to argue while they perform their duties.
- Citizens are expected to post the correct content in the right chats.
- Citizens are prohibited to share any and all sexually explicit or gore content.
- Amendments to this constitution can only be added if the parliamentary majority supports it.
- Citizens are prohibited from harassing other citizens.
- Citizens shall not share private information of others without their consent.
- Citizens shall not leak any confidential information to our allies or enemies in any situation.
- Follow the rule of God.
The constitution can be changed and amended though this requires parliamentary majority and presidential agreement.
Economy
Rascain has a stable economy which uses Rascainian Pound notes (as shown on the right). Each note was designated a Rascainian hero from the Biblical days or other historical events.
Rascain joined the Elarian Trade Union on the 28th of August 2022. This was decided by president Ghostly who later attended a successful couple summits.
Foreign Relations
Since the 26th of August 2022, Rascain has signed a pact of non aggression with the People's Republic of Coinín, though not allies the chairman frequently visits Rascain and seems to get along with them.
Since the 28th of August 2022, Rascain has been a member of the Elarian Trade Union and the League of Elarian Nations.
Rascain has been at war with the Democratic Republic of Carolina though no combat has ever occurred due to Rascain taking a purely diplomatic role in the war.
Military
Though there is no sitting military, Rascainian law permits inscription for all men. Under current law women and children are prohibited from serving the military and this is not likely to change.
On the 26th of August 2022, president Ghostly de-escalated tensions between Rascain and the Coinín Free State by signing a peace treaty with the nations head Supreme Leader General Admiral Rabbit.
On the 28th of August 2022, Rascain entered the League of Elarian Nations as an attempt to secure the country from enemy invasion. This was a successful deal for the time being but after the invasion of Bushistan the alliance was questioned.
After the Second Federal Republic of Zeprana was banned from LENS due to their vocalisation of support for Russia in the Russo-Ukrainian war, Rascain distanced themselves from LENS due to their conflicts between the clear violation of Rascain's free speech policies.
Rascain is currently at war with the Democratic Republic of Carolina in retaliation to their invasion and occupation of Bushistan.
